External Chamfers

Use the table below to to make calculating  chamfers on external diameters (boss) a little easier, this has worked for me and has helped a lot, that is assuming that the diameter is on the (x,y,z)=(0,0,0) position and xy plane, which is in most cases. Hope this helps; but please always use caution when programming CMMs.

Length = (use when working with vectors)

Be extra careful when working with vectors, you will have to play with them depending on which plane / starting point you are using.
